LPL’s Fort Mill facility boasts a LEED Gold certification, demonstrating a commitment to environmental responsibility. Sitting in a growing, mixed-use area near the Anne Springs Close Greenway, the LPL campus leverages technology and materials that minimize environmental impact.
The Fort Mill location incorporates net-zero water design strategies and integrates nature into the design of the two buildings. Staff members can enjoy an abundance of natural light to boost mood and an energy-efficient workspace that minimizes heat and maximizes sunshine. There are also 12 electric-vehicle charging stations in the adjoining garage.
The Fort Mill campus was built with environmentally conscious landscaping and design in mind, as we strive to be respectful of our natural surroundings. Construction strategies spared as many trees as possible and enabled the use of reclaimed hardwoods for building construction. The Fort Mill Campus’s environmental efforts demonstrate a commitment to our people, our business, and our planet.

WELLNESS MATTERS
Comfort, choice, and control
LPL’s Fort Mill campus features two office buildings located adjacent to a 2,100 acre nature preserve. The campus includes amenities to promote employee well-being and encourage physical movement. Wellness amenities include: sit-to-stand adjustable workstations, two miles of walking trails, a community garden, outdoor sports courts, bicycle storage, and a bicycle share program. In addition, the LPL cafeteria offers a wide range of healthy food options and uses composting, recycling, and other responsible sustainability practices.
Natural light
The Fort Mill buildings incorporate abundant natural daylight, creating a pleasant work environment while reducing lighting-related energy consumption. Nearly every workspace provides an outdoor view.
Net-zero water usage
LPL’s Fort Mill campus employs water-efficient systems that recycle and redirect water so the consumption of non-potable water is less than the water needed for the facility’s cooling, irrigation, and plumbing systems. The methods also slow the water entering the local storm water system.
A well-energized workspace
The smart use of brick and glass minimizes heat and maximizes light in both LPL Fort Mill buildings. The innovative HVAC system brings in 30% more outside air than is standard.
